What Customers Say About Pantainorasingh Thai Tea Mix, 16-Ounce Bags (Pack of 4):

taste like the thai tea at thai restaurants, but only if you make the tea concentrated enough--you can't skimp here. The mix is made of actual tea leaves but precut, and some herbs and spices that give it the unique taste of thai tea. color certainly comes from dye (FD & C Yellow No. 6)-- I would say that is a commonality with most thai teas.

Overall, this tea has a really great taste, just like the restaraunt-made ones. I would caution against spilling it anywhere, seeing as it stains orange everything it touches.

I tried a few brands, but this is the BEST. BE WARE. it stains :-(I use 1/4 cup tea to 1 qt of water. I would suggest a good quality disposable papaer filter, cause this is really messy.

I used an iced tea maker with a bucket-style coffee filter to brew my tea and spilled a little bit on the counter while I was working and I had giant orange spots where the tea landed within a couple minutes. Also, the bag tells you to use 4 Tbsp per cup of water- that means if you are making a gallon of tea you need to add about 4 cups if you follow the bag. I love this tea. This didn't sound right to me, and I do tend to like my tea strong. It tastes just like restaurants make when you add sweetened condensed milk (also easier to stir into iced tea than sugar). My only caution is that this stuff stains VERY easily. I decided to add 1/2c. of the tea per quart of water and it still turned out pretty strong.

Tastes like what's served in Thai restaurants. Makes it creamy and slightly sweet. Brews up nicely in the coffee pot, especially if you're looking to make larger quantities quickly. To cut back back on the fat and sugar, I enjoy with unsweetened coconut milk, which is apparently a traditional variation (can find in the Baltimore area in the Asian section of WalMart, Food Lion and Safeway--no luck so far in the local Giant). Good value with the free shipping. Give it a try.
